My Morning Coconut Oil Coffee

My Morning Coconut Oil Coffee

I use coconut oil for pretty much everything. Seriously,The list is longgg.

I use it as oil for my hair.

Moisturizing my smooth skin lol.

Brushing my teeth.

Oiling the skillet to cook my food…

It varies from time to time.

But for the last two years, the most consistent way i’ve been having coconut oil is in my morning coffee. Aside from the fact that it tastes sensational lol, the benefits are next level.

Let me explain…

The Two main reasons I drink Coconut Oil Coffee

INCREASED ENERGY

Coffee usually just make you feel happier, and due to its stimulating properties, the caffeine gives you a pretty fast energy boost, while also creates a mental stimulation by blocking inhibitory neurotransmitters like adenosine.

Yea I just got all fancy on ya.

But when you add in Coconut oil, it provides a boost of energy in a different way.

Coconut oil bypasses regular fat metabolism because it is made of MCFAs (medium-chain fatty acids). These MCFAs are much easier for our bodies to digest and are processed directly through the liver, unlike long-chain fatty acids in most vegetable oils and other saturated fats.

Coconut Oil is made up of MCT’s (Medium Chain Triglycerides).

MCTs are more rapidly absorbed by the body and are quickly metabolized as fuel (not stored as fat).

ASSISTS IN WEIGHT LOSS

For the most part, weight loss is all about calories in, calories out. Yes, there is more to it than that, but if your body burns off more energy (calories) than it takes in, then you will lose fat.

So if we reduce our appetite, we can take in fewer calories without having to think about it. Which is the exact effect that both coffee and coconut oil can have.

Coconut oil can help assist with weight loss because of its satiating fat. Consuming coconut oil helps to decrease appetite.

On some days, I’ll do Intermittent Fasting in this sense. No food, only having Coconut oil coffee in the morning, which is a great way for the body to use its energy reserves most effectively and speeds up the breakdown of needless fat reserves.

So in a way, the coconut oil can promote fat burning (increases “calories out”) while also reducing our appetite (reduces “calories in”).
